Lukas just had a birthday and turned 2 years old!! I have no idea how time has flown by so dang fast but this little stinker is already giving me a run for my money.. He is SO wild and has to be doing what Jayven is doing and more!! He loves to jump off of the couch and do flips and be as daring as can be! He is insane!! But, holy crap he is so stinkin cute!! We just cut his hair and he looks so much older than he did with long hair.. So cute. I just love him

Josie turned 6 Months on November 6th! She is just the best thing ever so dang pretty and such a HAPPY baby!! I could seriously not ask for a happier baby. I love her! She is rolling over and sitting up and she is inches away from crawling it will just be days before she gets to it. :)

Ok so here you see Josie is only 5.5 Inches smaller than Luke!! Holy crap!! it is so funny taking them places if Luke is not talking people think they are twins.. lol

Wow! Its been too long...

I know I know where have I been? Lets just say between kids, hunting, a new baby, and James in school (which leaves me with no computer) I just haven't had the time to blog. Which makes me sad.. I want to document as much as I can for my kiddos.. Lots has happened here at our house.. Josie is growin g like a weed.
Luke is learning SO much.
Jayven is in his 2nd year of preschool and is loving it and learning lots. It makes me so happy.. James is GRADUATING in December!!
I couldn't be more excited about this. It will open up so many doors but also close some doors as well. Which will be huge in our home, who knows where we will be and when all of this will happen but it will.. I think it will just be the suspense that kills me, I don't know that I can handle the anxiety that will come with all the changes. But we will conquer once again.
I have just been the mom. Need I say more? I also was lucky enough to get an Elk this year. It was such a great hunt and we had so much fun. Thanks to our friends for taking us to their area and putting us on some big bulls. I'm pretty happy with my big bull. We are waiting to get him back he is being mounted right now. I'm excited to get him back and put him up on the wall!!!
I am happy that fall has arrived but I feel that it is quickly coming to an end. Which i'm not so sure how I feel about this. I love the cooler weather (cooler not FREEZING)
Jayven just finished soccer and I coached. He actually liked soccer more than T-ball and he seemed to keep focused better as well. It was great seeing him on the field and he made a few goals in the few games he played. I hope to practice with him more before spring soccer starts. :)
Luke turns 2 in two weeks! Josie is 6 months in a few days.. Gosh, time flies...
I love these kiddos so much... I may be high tempered but at the end of the day I still wouldn't trade them for the world!

Josie is now a month old and I can't believe it!! She is getting so big. I love her to pieces.. I never thought I would/could love a little girl so much!! But she is just great... I love putting dresses on her (another thing I thought I would NEVER do or say). She has hair and lots of it so I love to put bows and headbands on her. Her head is so small tho that most of the ones I have don't fit well enough.. She is doing great and sleeping even better.. She only wakes up 1 time in the night and then goes right back to sleep, and I don't know if she knows when James leaves for work or what but she will wake up when he leaves and I will pull her into bed with me and she will put her arm on my face and go back to sleep.. It is the sweetest thing EVER!! mmm i just love that girl! lol here are some random pictures we have gotten of her..

Memorial Day weekend...

This memorial day weekend we tried to see people that we don't see often and visit some graves.. We were able to see Grandma and Grandpa Thomas. They are getting up there in age so it is really good to be able to visit with them since who knows when they will take their lifetime trip.. They are truly the neatest people in the world and such great examples. I look up to them alot and hope that my life as an old lady is as happy as their life.. :) They have wonderful children and wonderful grandchildren, great grandchildren. I have lost count how many people there are in the family but we were well over a hundred a few years ago!! It is great!!

We also got to go and visit with my Grandpa.. Man, I'm doing good two times in a year!!! LOL This is how it should be but I just haven't made it priority and I have told myself I need to get down there more often so I did. I did have an excuse this time to help me get down there, I wanted him to meet little Josie Kaye.. I enjoyed every minute that we were there seeing him. I showed him Josie while she laid in her car seat and he smiled!! :) I then had to get her out to let him hold her and he just kept looking at her.. I didn't want to let go of her just in case something happened but I could tell he really enjoyed it! He is actually pretty lucky, not only did he get Christian (Britteny's baby) Josie but he got Oakley Ann (Jacqui's baby) on his birthday!! June 7th..
I miss my grandpa and I love him very much and from the look in his eyes every time we are there I can see how much he loves me and my kids and i'm so grateful for that!!

We also went and visited James' Great Grandma's grave. I didn't know her that well, but I know James talks alot about her and what he loved about her and her house and their visits with her. She always had something to say and great memories.. I'm sure James will always remember things about her.. James was in Iraq when she passed away which was hard on all of us. But he knew that she was in a better place.. I will never forget her services.. I was sicker than a dog, but I went anyways. The services were great and I cried the WHOLE time.. I remember James' brother getting up and talking and I could barely keep it together!! Such a great lady who will never be forgotten!!

We also visited my grandma and grandpa's grave along with unlce Tom and uncle Randy. I was young when my grandma died but I have memories of her that I will never forget. I remember her voice raspy and all.. I can't forget her.. She was great.. I miss her and love her alot!! My grandpa passed away before I was born so I don't know him, but my dad tells me ALL THE TIME that he would love us kids and he would be so proud of us.. Just for that I miss him and wish I knew him, but I know he is looking over me and still proud.. One day I will meet him and I look forward to it! Uncle Randy too died before I was born so no memories of him, but I do know that he and my dad looked ALOT alike.. I will one day meet him too. :) Uncle Tom... Oh the memories.. I have TOOOO many to put on here and I have blogged about him before. I miss this man DAILY.. Especially on my drives home.. That is when I could talk to him the best.. I knew that if I called him anywhere else I would stop listening because I would have to do something here and he would continue to talk my ear off and not even know I wasn't listening.. LOL Ugh, I hate thinking about this because it makes me teary eyed. I love and miss him SO much..
What a great weekend to reminisce on all of the memories..

Jayven has now graduated Preschool!! I can't believe how much he learned in the 5 months that he was in.. He went in knowing things but he came out knowing SO much more!

Today we went to the Dr. for her newborn well check and to check her bili levels.. She is so stinkin cute!! I just love this baby to death! Her brothers are pretty fond of her too! :)

Her stats:
6 lbs 7 oz
19.5 in
I forgot to ask what the percentages were but she did lose some weight in the hospital which is normal..

The boys absolutely loves her!! Jayven always asks if he can kiss her.. If she is laying on the floor or anything Jayven will walk up to her and say "hi you pretty girl, I love you" it is the CUTEST thing ever!! he does it in a baby voice too thinkin she can really understand it but it for sure gets her attention. Lukas is always just kissing her.. He rubs her head and cheeks too. I thought for sure Luke would be the one to be jealous since he is so young, but I really don't think he is, I think he loves her just as much as us. :) Adjusting to 3 hasn't been hard either, it definately seems to be busier I don't think I have been in bed ONE time since she has been born before midnight. Which is super hard on me, I NEED sleep!! If its not one thing its another.. So that is my only complaint. But life is good with 3 beautiful children and I couldn't ask for more!!
I love them all!! And my hubby too! I guess.. ;)

Josie's birthing story is very quick and easy. :) I went into the hospital at 3. Checked in by 3:30. Water broke by 4. Epidural by 4:30. Had her by 7. I think this was by far my easiest delivery but the "labor" part of it was painful. As soon as I had her and my epidural wore off I felt great and even walked to the nursery. I was back to normal things within a few hours and that is so not how my other two have been.. Josie was born with an infection due to my water breaking a week before I had her (stupid nurses sent me home saying it wasn't broke) so she was in the nicu til Monday on antibiotics. I hated this and I will hate myself for the rest of my life for how it all went. It was horrible. James wasn't there for half of the time which was HARD dealing with everything on my own after just giving birth. I was emotionally drained.. One time I walked into her room and the stupid nurse had put an IV in her head!! I about flipped!! They moved it from her hand to her head because it was coming out, and I was fine with that part, but they didn't even connect it to fluids because she was done with them and 2 hours later we got test results back saying her infection was gone!! So no more antibiotics so IV in the head= pointless + painful for my baby girl!! Ugh, so frustrating.. So the Dr. came in the next morning and discharged her and we got to go home, I'm not sure if the nurse was sick of Josie or what but she put her in her carseat (poopy) in dirty clothes and I didn't get ANY going home pictures!! FURIOUS!! SAD!! To top it off, I drove myself and 3 kids home by myself while James went to work! Yup what a day!! Not too happy about it STILL as you can tell..
But everything is great now! I love her to death and she is a great addition to our family!!

A much needed visit

Last week I took my boys to see my Grandpa Don.. It has been way too long and I have been feeling like I needed to get there but always seem to get distracted.. I am really happy that we went and he was happy we were there.. He smiled once and said "uh huh" once.. That was great enough for me!!

My dad had a bright idea to take him some sugar cookies that he had made the night before and Grandpa LOVED them!! :) It was so funny because he started drooling when I showed him what we had brought and then he would open his mouth WIDER than I have ever seen.. LOL So cute.. The nurse came by and told me just to break off little pieces for him to eat but there was NO way I was putting my fingers near those chompers.. haha he did just fine biting the cookie. ;)
I was able to get some good pictures and I hope my boys will be able to remember him and know that he was here.. They wont know him like I did but they will know they had a Great Grandpa Don.. I pointed to each of the kids ( I also had my nephew Kaisen, bro, and dad) and Grandpa would look at each one as I pointed to them, I told him I was having a baby girl and that is when I got the SMILE!! It couldn't have made me more HAPPY!! He held my hand which is great, because he usually just holds his own hands but I got him to let go and hold mine..
I just love him and am so grateful to have him as a Grandpa.. I miss him alot around but I know that he knows I'm here..

30 weeks!

I know this was a few weeks ago but it is the last picture that I have taken.. I am now almost 33 weeks!! :)

I am still feeling great.. I feel her move more and more each day and she really has a thing for my left side with an elbow here and knee there.. I sometimes can't handle how hard she pushes but I guess that is the joy of being pregnant..

I have been craving lots and lots of fruit.. Pineapple in particular.. :) I have been drinking tons of water which in past pregnancies has been fine, i didn't ever have to pee as much but this one I am constantly in the bathroom..

I went to the doctor on Friday and he said things are looking great.. I had him check me since I started dilating at 31 weeks with Lukas.. But good news, I am still not dilated and I am so thankful for that! :) Now it is just a waiting game.

I am also measuring perfectly..

I am so excited to meet my baby girl.. So interested to see what she will look like since Jayven and Luke look so different.. ugh, I can't wait!! YAY!!! :)

Family Vacation

This year we decided to take a last minute trip before the baby gets here.. We were really lucky to find great deals on hotel and tickets to make it even better. We took the boys to Disneyland.. :) I had my doubts about it wondering if Jayven was too young to really enjoy the rides or not but i'm super happy we took him.. He really enjoyed the rides and his favorite was Thunder Mountain Railroad.. Which I actually enjoyed alot too.. It was perfect weather and there was hardly any waits on the rides. We waited for one at Cali Adventure side that was 35 minutes and that was the longest one!! Jayven rode everything we did and there were only like 4 that Lukas couldn't ride.. :) I rode everything that I wanted to and being pregnant didn't stop me a bit.. They really do make that place kid friendly. I would do it again if the opportunity came about.. We also saw all of the characters except Daisy.. We were told she doesn't come out very often since she goes to the breakfast over at PCH.. We were fine with that tho.. Luke really enjoyed seeing most characters and Jayven loved it.. We decided to splurge a little and take him to the restaraunt that my cousin works at, its called Storytellers Cafe, where we ate breakfast with Chip and Dale, Terk, Kenai, and a few others I can't think of right at this second. It was really EXPENSIVE and the food wasn't that great so I guess we paid for the experience which I thought was great. They did parades around the room with the kids and the characters it was super cute and then there was a "camp director" who made the kids part of the "pack" they had a special code to get in and Jayven thought that was super cool. I got it on video for the most part and it was so cute watching him interact with them.. :)
So we did Disney for 3 days and we did the beach for 3 days.. I think this was Luke's favorite part because he wasn't confined to the stroller. We just let him roam the beach. (there weren't many people at all) He wasn't a fan of the water so I wasn't concerned with him getting into it.. He sat on the sand with a stick and played in it and ate a little while he was at it.. :) I got tons of pictures of us at the beach.. I just couldn't resist.. Such perfect days to be there and with not many people there it was really relaxing.. James, on the other hand was kind of disappointed because the tsunami was coming inland when we were at the beach so they told him he couldn't get into the water past his knees.. The waves weren't very big the first day but the swell was pretty bad.. The second day we went to the beach the waves were huge and just kept getting bigger and bigger.. They weren't as big as we have seen before but they were pretty cool looking. Later that night we decided to go back down there and play on the pier and also there is a swing set so we played with they boys and the swings.. Such a perfect night, I didn't want to leave.. It was really good to just be with our little family and spend so much time together. It was really enjoyable and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my kids so much and it was fun to see them having fun and enjoying a different environment. Jayven loves the beach and now so does Luke, I wish we still lived out there and that could be apart of our lives alot more often than what it is now.. I miss it out there. ALOT... I'm grateful that James had time off from school so that we could go and I'm also very glad he had such a great attitude out there and the drive wasn't too bad either!! :)

Overall it was a great vacation and I can't wait to do it again!!! I told you I took lots of pictures (500 something) So this might be a picture overload! :) So fun.. Good memories..
If anyone goes to Cali, you need to go to San Clemente and spend the WHOLE time there. LOL Such a great place and great warm inviting people.. :)

His presents all opened.. Happy kid..

Today is Jayven's 4th Birthday.. I seriously can't believe I gave birth to this kid 4 years ago!! Its crazy.. Jayven is such a good kid and so dang loving.. Believe me tho he has an attitude and he loves to back talk and think he is the boss which doesn't go over well with me but at the end of the day I love him to pieces!! Don't know what I would do with out him..
Jayven goes to preschool and absolutely loves it and is doing great, he started at this new school in December and he has done so well, and is learning so much.. He loves to go everyday even when he is sick or tired!! (I hope it stays this way)
His 4 year check up went great! The dr said everything looks great and we even got good news that he has probably grown out of his Asthma.. I haven't been giving him breathing treatments medicine daily since last summer. He for sure has allergies and probably wont grow out of those.. Other than that Jayven is a healthy strong little boy!!
He grew 4 inches this year which put him in the 50% for his height and I don't remember what his weight was but he is in the 70%.. For him that is great, he has always been below 50% usually only 30% for everything..

We did a birthday party for him and his friends this year and he had a great time!! They played some games and really enjoyed it.. He has been looking forward to his party for weeks.. We even had to make a countdown for the fridge..

Today we took him to the circus and I thought we would enjoy it alot more but it was LONG which is good for your money purposes but when you have a baby who is too little to walk or sit alone and too big to sit on your lap and be held the whole time got old.. Jayven was ready to go half way through it but we pushed through and it was fun all together.. The elephants were our favorite part, they were so cute. :) The rest of the day was just us at home relaxing enjoying the evening before a hectic week again...

For those of you who haven't heard we are EXPECTING!!! We are super excited to be having a baby, I am due in May.. We found out the day before Thanksgiving that we are having a GIRL!! I am really really excited to be having a girl, it will be the first girl in my family since my sister Britteny was born which was 21 years ago!! James' brother had a girl 6 months before we had Jayven but we are still super excited for another girl on his side of the family..
I made calendars with pictures for each month and with May i did the ultrasound pictures that we got done and it turned out way stinking cute!! I am way glad I decided to do it.. They took me FOREVER to get done!! It seems like it took me months to actually finish them and it was down to the day that I had to order.. I spent 2 days straight doing them so I could get them done.. But I would do it all over again.. We gave them to our parents and had them open them it was really fun seeing the different reactions people gave us because at this time I was 19 weeks and 4 days and we found out at 4 weeks so we kept it in a LONG time and believe me it was HARD I still can't believe we did it but it was sure fun!!
James is really excited to have a little girl.. It is going to be super different from having 2 boys but i'm sure we'll manage and she will be a daddy's girl for sure. Even tho right now she will stop kicking the instant James goes for my belly.. We just can't wait for her to arrive!!
I have only taken one picture of my belly and it was the 23rd of December so 19 weeks!! Can't even tell I am pregnant but now that we have told people she has decided to grow and make me fat!! ;)

A visit from Santa, as you can see Lukas was not too fond of him! lol

This Christmas was super fun with both of the boys being so excited!! Jayven was excited this year and I think he really understood what it was all about. He actually went to bed great and slept great!! On Christmas Eve we watched the Grinch and played a game that Jayven made in school which was Don't Eat Pete, it was really fun to sit down as a family and play a game. Then we went upstairs and opened out Eve presents which was Pajamas I was able to get the boys matching ones that was fun seeing them match!
Christmas morning we woke up and did presents and took a break to eat breakfast and then went back for some more. Jayven was actually ok with doing that too and it made it feel like it lasted longer!!! I have always had such a hard time with people saying their Christmas is over in a half hour.. Seems so fast for something you wait for for an entire year!! :) We made it last!!

Then we were on the road for our long day of visiting. We started of by going to Aunt Tessie's where we saw Grandma Tammy too. The boys love their auntie and grandma.. They had fun running around and Jayven sat down and told grandma all that he got for his big day.. Then we gave grandma her present and tessie watched and they were super excited about it!! It was fun to see their reactions to it.. (I'll post again and say what it was). When we were done there we headed to Grandpa Troy's house we hung out there for a while and gave grandpa, zach, and britt their presents and then headed to Grandpa Dan's house.. We gave them their gifts and hung out chatting for a while then headed to the Great Grandparents house it was really nice seeing them. It is really hard because they are getting so old but it was really nice seeing them and talking to them.. Sometimes they didn't quite understand what we were saying so Grandma would just laugh and pretend.. It was pretty cute. We went to Great Grandma Sue's house after that where Grandma Michele was and they boys got to visit. We enjoyed a great Christmas dinner and visited with cousins, aunts, uncles. My family is growing so much it is hard to get everyone together but when we do it is total chaos and fun!! I wouldn't have it any other way!! My Grandma told us on Thanksgiving how grateful she is that our family has grown so much and is as close together as it is, and I couldn't agree more. It is great to have so many of us and its just getting bigger there will be 3 more great grand kids in the family this year!!
We ended our night visiting with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Ash, we haven't seen them for a long time so we made the effort to go and visit them in Santiquin which from our house is like we live on totally opposite ends of UT. We were really happy to see them and Jayven enjoyed himself running around wild.. We got into the car and not 5 minutes later both the boys were fast asleep. Such a long busy day but a great one at that!!!

Yesterday my baby turned 1 and it was such a great day for him!! He had a great time and was so happy with his presents!! Most people know he LOVES dogs so he got 3 different ones last night and loves them all! It was so cute to see him open them he laughed and smiled.. So cute! He got a sweater from his great grandma and it had a teddy bear on the front of it and he actually licked it. It was pretty funny I don't know why or where he got that from but it was funny..
My dad and I made his cake this year and it turned out pretty darn cute if I say so myself.. I did have a hard time with the sheep and the chicks but the cows and pigs turned out adorable!! The barn looked like a school house for a while but we added some little touches and it turned out Awesome!! So thank you Daddy!! :)
He loved his cake and ate the whole thing! He didn't quite know what to do at the beginning but he got it down and loved it! Thank you for everyone that was able to make it especially because of the snow and bad weather.. I love you Luke!!

This week James took his vacation days so we decided to do a few things.. I don't know why but it ended up being an animal adventure.. First we went to the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi. That night we spent the night at the Holiday Inn Express that has a water park inside of it and it was super fun! The next day we went to the Zoo. James has only been with us to the zoo once since Jayven was born so it was super fun to have him go with us!! When we left the kids were out before we got to the main road! It was pretty funny so worn out.. We ended up stopping in Layton to go to dinner and since we were right by Chuck E Cheese and we LOVE going there thats where we ended up for a few hours. That was also nice to have James go cause it has been a while since he has gone with us.. So later on that night we got home and we were debating on a few ideas on what to do the rest of the week.. So we finally decided we would get up the next morning and head to Yellowstone!! :) We left at like 10 and made it there by 2 with a few stops in Pocatello and Rexburg. We got there and got into our room and headed for the road again! First we saw some elk and buffalo and then on to Old Faithful. We just barely missed it so we had to wait over an hour for the next one. Not so fun when you have kids that just want to go go and go and a husband who just wanted to sit. lol So I walked with the boys a bit and sat for a bit.. It finally happened and then we were off again.. Jayven thought it was pretty cool but he didn't understand that it was a natural thing and not just a cool water fall. Onto our next adventure was to Hayden Valley where we could see some more animals. We were able to see 2 coyote, 1 wolf, 5 BEARS, buffalo, and some more elk! Jayven absolutely loved seeing the bears it was pretty neat it was a momma and 3 cubs grizzlies, and then another area we saw the 5th bear which was a black bear. Fun! :) We were told by a few people that bears were no where to be found, we didn't believe them but also wanted to see them so we searched and searched. One lady told us that they were headed higher to find hibernation! LOL didn't they just get out of hibernation?? we seriously just laughed.. We saw them so it was all good..
We headed back to the hotel because the road was closed after a certain hour and we weren't sure what time it closed so we hurried back we got to the room and went to eat and it was the WORST experience ever!! Gross food!!! So James rushed back to the room because he was sick to his tummy, Luke fell and cut his eye open, we got kicked out of our hotel room.. Talk about a bad night!! We were so ready to get home.. We left the next morning saw more animals, Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Bear Lake and home!! We couldn't be happier to be home it was an extremely long drive with the boys!!

Today was an awesome day.. We were able to witness the groundbreaking of the new Temple that is going to be in Brigham where we live! We are so excited and it is really neat watching the progress that has already happened with it and more to come! President Packer presided today at the ceremony. He and his sweet wife are from Brigham City so I am sure they are just thrilled that they get to be such a big part in this temple. He is the one that suggested the looks and where it was going to stand. It is beautiful, looks alot like the Salt Lake Temple. We live a block and a half away from it so its great!! Jayven got to shake hands with Elder Nelson, touch President Packers hand as he got in his van and Turn the dirt for the Temple.. What an experience for him!! :) Here are some pictures!!

It has been a while since I have posted anything and alot has happened.. Not to mention my little Luker is getting so big!! I can't believe how fast they grow!! I just love him.. :) Jayven has finished gymnastics and had his show yesterday. He did great! He really loved it and enjoyed it, I thought for sure he was going to get stage fright but didn't. So fun to watch him do something and enjoy what he is doing.
James has started school for the summer semester and is keeping busy with all of that and I have been working more than I would like to but the money will be nice..

Yesterday, we went to Idaho for an adventure ride and we ended up going to Shoshone Falls. They are amazing!! I can't believe how big they are.. So pretty too. The wind was horrible tho.

Our trip to the Dino Park! It was a great day to go so we took advantage. Jayven loved it til we got to the inside part and James told him the "real dino's" were going to get him.. He was no longer a fan! Way to go dad!!

Today I decided to take the boys to chuck e cheese. It was super fun! I don't know why but I got more smile pictures of Luke than Jayven.. Mmmm, I just love my kids.. :)

Aren't these so cute! Luke loved all the sounds and lights.. He was laughing while he was looking at me and some lady came up and was saying how cute he was and Luke looked up at her and started spitting and then turned back to me and started laughing! It was the funniest thing ever!! He has a great personality already.. (And attitude) :-)

4 Months old

Luke is now 4 months old and I can't beleive it.. He is growing so big and it makes me so sad.. Soon he'll be Jayven's age and I just can't have it.. lol Might I add that Luke hasn't had the easiest 4 months either.. He has been in primary childrens 2 times, had double ear infections 3 times and right now just getting over RSV and the 3rd set of ear infections. Poor baby.. It doesn't stop him from doing much tho, (besides sleeping thru the night) he wants so badly to sit up, he hates laying down. I give him 2 weeks before he is sitting all alone, he can pretty much do it now, but falls forward once in a while. I swear he is teething from how much drool he has and how he loves to chew on everything.. He has great hand skills already grabs what he wants, he has a rattle thing that he loves to bang around. His favorite is to bang it on his swing tray thingy it makes alot more noise that way! :)

He is rolling over from his belly to back and he can twist his little body over from back to belly but can't get over the arm that is stuck underneath him. lol it is too cute.. He loves to be outside and just look around, the other morning we had the young men come over and airate (sp) our lawn and we sat out on the porch and watched them and he would move his head back and forth as either they came and went or if a car came and went.. It was pretty cute.. He is a VERY smiley baby if you even say the slightest word to him he will smile and shove his hand in his mouth almost like he is shy or so excited to get the attention! Ugh, I just love him!!

Yesterday we couldn't go to church again because the boys are still contagious with RSV so we decided to do alittle trip out to Golden Spike. Let me tell you, WAIST OF MY TIME!!! It was so dumb, it only took 30 min from our house to get there but it was just so silly. Jayven enjoyed the gift shop and standing on the railroad tracks but that is about it. We were there all of a half hour maybe. There were not even real trains there.. How lame huh. So we asked the guy at the desk, if there was anyway we could go see them because Jayven is so in love with trains still. So he called over to the train house where they were working on them and told them they had a little boy who was dying to see them so they let us go up there. It was kinda neat but still silly because they weren't in working condition so Jayven didn't get the full effect of the train like we would have thought he would.. We will definately be finding a new train depot. Maybe the Union Station in Ogden.

I can not figure out how to get my dang pictures to shop up down here!! or how to delete the one sitting sideways so sorry!! Enjoy!

Luke's Blessing

Today we had the opportunity to bless Luke. It was so great and I am so thankful that James is a worthy priesthood holder that can do this for our children. Luke did so good, and James says Luke even started smiling when he was in the middle of the blessing. We were able to have our family be with us today and it was a great turn out. Thank you for everyone that came, we appreciate it. I know it is a far drive but so worth it huh?

Luke has been sick the past week or so, he was tested on monday for RSV and had it, although he didn't show a single sign until yesterday and now it is bad.. :( Its not good, I hope it gets better, his cough just kills me, I hate seeing him sick..

Luke is such a blessing to our family and I love him more than he could ever know. I thank the Lord daily for him to be in our lives...

Man how life is so dang crazy with two kids, gymnastics, work, and the regular mother/wife duties.. Jayven turned 3 in January and Luke is almost 3 months old.. How time flies by, I want my babies back..

I went back to work about a month ago and I only work 2 days a week and very short shifts but it is good enough for me right now, even tho I wished I could bring home more money, I think i'm good for now..

Jayven started gymnastics the week of his birthday and he LOVES it. It is so stinkin cute to watch him learn new things and to listen.. I think that is the best part he just sits there and takes everything in and does everything the teacher tells him to do.. I wish he listen to everything I tell him to do. It is fun for him to interact with friends up here, it is so hard because his best friend (only friend) Revin moved away last year and we don't really see them as often as we should so its good for him to have a set time that he gets to hang out with other kids. He has a show in May that I just can't wait for, he gets to show off what he has learned.. Jayven is also being such a handfull right now, he has learned some things that I am not very fond of and has been talk to numerous times about, I hope it is just a phase and he will grow out of it, and mom and dad have watched very carefully at his actions and things we do and watch so he won't catch on anymore than he already has...

Luke is growing like a weed.. We went in for his 2 month appt and he weighed 11 pounds and looks great says Dr. Lei, (the best ped ever). Even tho he has had a trip to Primary Childrens hospital for fevers, 2 double ear infections he is a pretty good baby. Luke doesn't sleesp as well as Jayven did so it is hard on me but i'm managing.. He is smiling, and cooing and it is so fun. He LOVES his big brother and smiles everytime he sees him. We will lay him down on the floor and he will just watch Jayv run back and forth in and out of the room and sometimes even start to fuss when he does leave the room but will be right back to that smiley boy when he can see his big bro.. It is pretty cute, I can't wait til Luke can play with Jayven and they can be the best of friends..

We are almost finished remodeling our basement it should be done this week, what a long 2 months it has been.. It really stinks having all of your living space just upstairs, it is like we went back to an apartment.. NOT fun.. But it will be great to have it all done, we are moving Jayven downstairs and it is definately going to take some getting used to on my part, I have many mixed emotions about it, but we are getting him bunk beds and he seems to think that will be pretty cool. (I'm doing it so he can get out of the window if there is a fire)

James is still slavin away at work and school. I don't know how that kid does it.. I definately am so proud of him for all his hard work..

Sorry for no pictures lately my memory card got deleted when my camera decided it wanted to formatt.. So, if anyone knows how I can get those pictures back I'll love you forever!! :)

FIRST FAMILY PICTURE!

The last couple of weeks have been crazy with two kids, Thanksgiving, and Christmas coming up.. Luke is growing big and I can't believe it has almost been 4 weeks since I had him. We all got sick about a week ago and that was really hard on me to see that little body of his go through that.. I hope we can keep him well for the rest of the winter! No fun..
Last weekend we were able to go visit my grandpa in the nursing home. It was a great visit I haven't seen him in a while. I feel so bad for him being there all alone and I felt even worse that I haven't been down to see him sooner. My dad and the boys went with and we had a great time, we got grandpa to laugh it was great.. He fell about a week ago and got a black eye with some stitches to go along with it, and man does it look sore.. :( So my dad was asking him how he got it and of course he didn't say anything, and my dad started teasing him and patted him on the back and said "I know you were chasing all these sexy ladies around this place" and grandpa got the BIGGEST smile on his face and made a laughing sound. It just made our days. Grandpa also loved Lukas he kept pulling down his car seat so he could see inside and get a good look. I finally got him out and let grandpa hold him and it was the sweetest thing ever, his eyes swelled up with tears and he even let out a few smiles.. It really touched me.. He is here! 6.7 lbs 17.5 inches born at 1:37 am. Everything went great and he is health.. Super cute looks like Jayven. Not as much hair, but what he does have is dark and curly. Haven't gotten to see his eyes yet so not sure what color they are.. They did take him into the NICU cause his breathing was a little fast, but the Pediatrician just came in and said everything looks great and they are bundling him up now to bring him into us.

I couldn't have asked for a better delivery. It was great!! :) If only my pregnancy was as good as my deliveries are. I would have 4 babies by now. Just Kidding..

Halloween & Baby!!

This year my little Jayven was a dragon for halloween. I loved the costume and thought it was going to be cold so I talked myself into buying it. I don't know why they have to be so expensive.. Oh well, it was cute on him and worth it! He had a lot of fun, we went to trunk or treat which lasted a whole 20 minutes.. When we came home, I thought what is going on? Halloween just isn't what it was when I was a kid, it seemed like we went out all night long and got tons of candy and ran door to door for miles.. What was this parking lot thing all about?? So, my friend Heidi and her kids (who felt the same way) were going door to door around here, so we decided to take Jayven out again. I am so glad we did. He had a great time, although I don't really think he got the concept that you just stand at the door step and say "trick or treat" he seemed to want to go IN the house and say "trick or treat". I was so embarrassed. It was funny tho.. So we made it down 2 blocks and over two blocks and then ended up home after dark with some more candy! Fun night.. So last week I went to the dr and we had quite the mix up with my due dates and about how things were progressing. To say the least I was really concerned, and confused.. He had my due date 10 days sooner than what we thought, and he told me I was going to be having the baby before the 20th, and if I didn't we scheduled an induction date for the 22nd of November.. So today I went back to the doctor, this time taking James because of the concerns.. Well, it turns out my due date I had was right, not his.. But, I dilated another cm and a half in one week and says by the end of the day if my contractions continue i'll be at a 4. James being a man asked him "so what is the highest you go to? A 5??" the dr kinda laughed and said "when Lyndsay is at a 5 she will be here with her water broke and she will be in active labor, and then added it is a 10 when you are fully dilated". So what does this mean??
I am on meds to stop my contractions and I'm on bed rest... He said as he walked out the door "I'm praying I don't see you before your next appt on Monday, cause if I do you'll be having this baby". I did get an ultrasound and the baby is measuring at 6.5 lbs which he says could be plus or minus a pound and a half. He said it was too late to put me on steroids to help the baby's lungs because he is pretty sure he is going to come before the meds would really work.. Not such a good thing to hear when i am only 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant.. Lets just pray that the medicine helps my contractions and I can wait until at least next week to have the little guy.. Even longer would be great!! :) But until then, I am hurrying to go through the cloths and getting them washed and packing hospital bag.. Just to be safe..

Overdue update!!

We have had such a busy month so far.. James and I went on the deer hunt!! That was great, it was so nice to be gone from the everyday life stuff down here, just able to enjoy the outdoors and see all the animals!! Opening morning James got a buck!! It was a big surprise for us because last year we didn't see anything.. We tagged it with my tag so that he could continue to hunt.. We saw more bucks this year than we did all year last year.. My brother got his first buck and my dad got him self one too.. We filled 3 out of 4 tags.. But shot, 6 deer... I either have to say Jeremy and dad you suck at shooting or it just wasn't time for those bucks to die! :) Oh, well we have plenty of buck meat to last us til next years hunt!! Jayven came up and joined us on monday and he had a GREAT time! I loved having him up there, yes the 5 a.m. alarm for him wasn't that great but the afternoon nap was great for all.. We saw lots of moose this year too, and Jayven got to see the Mommy, baby, and daddy moose it was really neat.. Here are a few pictures of camp and stuff, my camera was dead the day James got his deer so I didn't even get a picture of it, Dangit..

On Saturday James and I took Jayven to Cornbelly's.. We had a blast.. It rained a little bit but it didn't stop us from having fun.. We did the corn maze and they even had a trick or treat corn maze for the kiddies.. It was pretty fun.. Then we went and picked out some pumpkins so we could go home and carve them for family home evening... So Sunday night thats what we did.. Jayven loved it and wanted to help as much as he could.. I wish we would have gotten one more pumpkin so he could do a face on one.. Maybe I will one day this week.. So here are our pictures from our adventures..

TOM ALTON SNOW

My uncle Tom passed away on 9-11-09 a day that was already unforgettable but now has more meaning than before. He was such a great guy and I will always have fond memories of him. I am going to miss him greatly but I know he is in a better place having a reunion of a life time with his mom, dad and two brothers that passed before he did. Not to mention all the grandparents and great grandparents. We held his services this past weekend and they were great. We could feel his spirit so strong and I am very happy that I had a part in helping out with those. The graveside was great where we heard from My dad (Troy), Uncle Jon, Ryan, and Aunt Marilyn. They all had great things to say about Tom, I don't know of anyone who could say anything bad about Tom though. Anyone who knew him were welcomed with open arms and a smile on his face. He will definately be missed by all who knew him.
On sunday afternoon, Ryan, Amey, Asher, Troy, Jon, Britteny, Zach, Jayven and myself went up the canyon to a beautiful waterfall and spread some of his ashes. What an experience that was, I have never done anything like that and I will remember it always. We also planted a tree up there that we will be able to go back for many years to watch grow. We know Tom will keep it alive and allow us to remember him by looking at it. A few hours passed by as we listened to Ryan play his madalin and listened to a "few" of Tom's favorite songs, man what a peaceful day it was not to mention the beautiful weather we had. We all know Tom had something to do with that, Tom hated coming to UT in the bad weather, and he always loved fall, so we had the sight of the beautiful leaves and the warm mountain breeze.. We could not have asked for a better situation. Thanks Tom..
Tom, I just wanted to say Thank you for all the great memories we were able to make and especially the ones of you and my son. He loved you and loved being with you. I have some wonderful pictures of you and him and I will always cherish those. Please remember you will always be in my heart and I will NEVER forget you. I love you, and until we meet again...

It has been one week!! I am doing great, back to a normal routine from having my gall bladder removed. They did keep me til Friday evening to monitor the baby because when I came out of surgery I was having contractions.. (Don't want the baby yet) Baby is doing great though, I am so thankful for the Doctors that were apart in this surgery I couldn't have had more faith in them.. Dr. Hansen has always been good to take care of me and he made sure he was there before they took me in and he was bedside with me not even an hour after I was finished and continued to come and check on me.. If anyone is in need of a good OB he is GREAT!! My surgeon was actually a lady to my surprise, but she did great and made me feel great before and after.
She actually said she is very happy she decided to do the surgery sooner rather than later because the gall stones were horrible, and I wouldn't have lasted through my pregnancy, so we did it at a great time.. I go back in to see her on the 8th to see how my incisions are looking.. I don't even notice that 3 of them are there so I guess that is a good sign, and I think the only reason why I notice my belly button one is because of the stretching and all the kicking this kid does! ;) Other than that doing great!

Vacation Time!!

We just got back today after a wonderful 7 day vacation to California.. It was a much needed vacation and was awesome! We left last Friday and headed for vegas, and then from there we went to Cali for 4 nights and then back to Vegas for a night... We had a blast.. My dad and brother joined us so it was good to have company.. :) The first day in San Diego we went to Sea World, which is always fun, but alot funner with kids.. Jayven just loved all the fish and they even have a few rides now for the little ones.. It has changed alot since I went 3 years ago.. My camera was not working for the first half of the day so everything is on video and i don't know how to post video clips on here.. :( The second day we went to the beach which was really fun, Jayven learned how to boogie board and he loved it! we took him out pretty far and let him ride the waves in he would fall off and get up and say "again again" so he did it for a few hours.. James and I were also boarding so we didn't get any pictures, just video.. So when I figure out how to post them I will.. That night My dad and Zach went out on a fishing trip that lasted thru til the next day so it was good that James, Jayven and I had a night and day to our selves.. They had a great time fishing and caught three fish, I cant beleive how big a tuna fish is, one Albecore, and two yellow fins.. It was neat.. So the third day James, Jayven and I went up onto Camp Pendleton and did a little shopping which is nice cause it is so much cheaper, and then we went and saw our old house. I'm super jealous at how nice it is now that the civilian contractors took over they have made things so much nicer up there.. We wish we were back out there really bad.. Good times.. I also took Jayven to a military barber shop and had his hair cut in a medium high which is a military cut.. He is so stinkin cute! :) And he didn't move once or make a single sound during his cut.. The final day in Cali we went to the beach again but didn't stay long cause we went onto the MCRD and went thru the historical museum for the Marine Corps.. It was really cool, and I have never been on that base so it was interesting, it brought back old memories for James going thru boot camp cause that is where it is held.. I wish I would have gone to his graduation.. We got into vegas that night about 9 and stayed up playing in the arcade til 1 a.m. that was fun too.. Yesterday we woke up late and we still needed to go turn in our tickets for prizes so we thought we'd hurry and do it well, we ended up staying and playing til 3:30. Oops which made for a late night getting back to American Fork..
What a great vacation though.. Thanks James for taking the time off work to take us, it was really fun.. :) I hope Jayven remembers it forever! Now for lots of pictures! Sorry so many, but there are too many to choose from...

I am into my 4th month of pregnancy, and between 18-20 pounds lighter.. Even with the little guy inside me growing at just the perfect rate.. How does this work? Well, being sick doesn't help.. So here is a picture of my belly at 16 weeks and a couple days..
I can't leave this cute picture out.. Jayven has been enjoying our yard and the awesome sun.. I just love how these two boys play! We sure do enjoy when Rev comes to play!!! :)

In order... On Memorial day weekend we had this bright idea to go camping. Little did we know it was going to rain the entire time we were there. Although it rained we had a great time. We went with my dad and brother and then our friends Jared and Jessica came with their two girls Jayden and Jordyn. The kids had an awesome time, and the boys had a fun time being total rednecks building us a "tent" it was pretty awesome, it was a 40 foot by 20 foot tarp that they strung from tree to tree so we had someplace dry to sit.. I wished I would have taken a picture but I guess I didn't.. So here are the pictures!

Well, as most of you already know I have been super sick with this pregnancy and haven't felt up to doing much at all. I have been feeling better in just this last one week so it is looking good but we aren't going to push it too far! :) I have a ton of pictures of Jayven and what he has been up to. He is growing so dang fast and getting cuter and cuter every day. He has also started talking ALOT I guess I shouldn't have worried about anything, it is all coming around now, although he is having a hard time with his "R's" hopefully they will come to him too..

Around December 12th, we will be adding a new addition to our family!! We are so excited and can't wait! Jayven loves babies and we told him we were going to have one and I don't think he understands it, but he sure does know where the baby is.. He loves to kiss the baby and touch it too! We will update everyone with all the news we get! My first appointment is on Friday so we will get more information then!!

This week for family home evening we decided to color Easter Eggs. We had a lot of fun and Jayven loved it. His favorite part was to drop the egg in the colors and also to put the stickers on them when they were done drying! It was really cute to see him be such a big boy!! Here are a few pictures. Spring Fever!!

It has been so nice outside and we can't wait for spring to be in full bloom!! The past few days Jayven and I have gone out and played, he absolutely loves to be outside!! And it is almost perfect out right now, not too cold, but not too hot.. So yesterday we went out about 11 and came in at 1.. We had so much fun, going on walks and just enjoying the sun!! My dad gave Jayven a wagon for his birthday so we got that out and he loves it..

On Friday, Jayven turned 2 years old! I can't believe how big he is and that he has been in our lives for 2 years.. He is the best kid ever.. I can't really call him a baby anymore, but I don't know if it is right calling him a kid. He will always be my baby but ya know.. So we started off the day going to see Dr. Lei, who says he is looking great and healthy! Good News!! Then we went back to Grandpa's house for lunch then I kinda ditched him for the afternoon to go and make his cake. I started it at noon and finished at like 5:15 so it took all afternoon with no time to spare!! I think it turned out great!! Thanks Kristy for helping. :) Here are some pictures of it!

On Saturday James and I took him swimming since James had to work on friday. He had a great time and we did too. We went to the Legacy Center in Lehi and we had never been there before. It was alot of fun.. We definitely know that we can go swimming and have Jayven love it!! :) here are some pictures from the party.. Thanks to everyone that came!! :)

Christmas day!!

On Christmas day we started out at home and by the end of the day we were in Santiquin. It was a very busy and eventful day!! We visited all the parents, grandparents, and great grandparents, plus a few more!! It was really good seeing everyone.. We tried to get as many pictures as we could with all the families, but it doesn't help when I left my cameras at my dads house, and that was only the 2nd stop!! OOPS!! Oh well, we have the memories. Right?
Jayven absolutely loved all of his gifts. On Christmas morning he came out to see his jeep that Santa brought him and he loved it!! We could only get him out of it to open another present and once he had one opened he took the present and put it in the jeep and got in himself. It was pretty cute!!

Ho Ho Ho

So this weekend we got to take Jayven to visit Santa!! I was very impressed that he sat on his lap and actually talked to him.. (couldn't understand a word he said, but he talked!) It was great!! I didn't want to buy the pictures that they took so I had this bright idea to do it myself, well when my flash went off so did theirs so all my pictures are WHITE or blurred. I am not very happy about it.. And the Santa kept yelling at me to turn our flash off cause their flash kept going off.. He was grumpy. I guess he's not getting enough sleep with all the kids he is seeing and all of the traveling.. Gosh... But, I got a picture of Jayven looking away and the Santa talking to me.. So we'll just have to live with that.. Here it is.. I also put the one that is white-out cause I like the fact that Santa and Jayven are looking at each other, this is when Jayven was talking to him.

On Saturday we took Allman family pictures. (my moms side) and it went great!! We had 25 people there and we all looked great! I am so glad we did it. Our last family picture was 13 years ago!! We have added a few since then and also lost some. We miss you Uncle Steve and Glenn.. My dad wasn't in this one either since my parents are divorced.. :( But, all in all it went great and had a great time doing them..
After that James, Jayven and I got to go and visit Heather, Allie, Scott and Terrie. I miss seeing them. They are great people and I have known them since I was 1 years old. Heather used to babysit me when I was just a lil-one. What great memories we have of each other. Allie is just a little older than Jayven but they played great. I wish they lived closer so that they could hang out more and so I could hang out with Heather. So thank you Morgans for letting us come and visit!! And Heather, come home more often!! :) Here is a few pictures of Allie and Jayven..

Christmas Season!!

I just love the Christmas season! I just wished it would snow.. What is Christmas in Utah with no snow?? This year has gone by so fast, it is almost done!! This Christmas season, I have really been trying to think more about what Christmas is all about rather than what presents I need to get who.. It has been a special one for us, being in our own house, and all. On Sunday James and I taught our sunday school class and it turned out so good. In the Ensign President Monson wrought a talk on the Greatest Christmas Ever. So I read the talk and then talked to the class about it, and to my belief their idea of Christmas was not all about the presents that they were going to get. It made me feel so good and get a better knowledge of the true meaning of Christmas!!

When I think of Chirstmas, I think of the house lit up with lights, a tree in the front window (a real one) full of lights and ornaments! I also love to see a Nativity scene which this year I can say I have not just one but two up, the family time is also great. I look forward to going to Grandma Sue's house every year for Christmas dinner, it is so much fun getting all of the family in one house and just enjoying eachothers company... One thing that my Dad's family always does is go to my uncle's house on Christmas Eve and wait for Rudolph to come. Sadly to say, I think we will miss that this year, It is just too hard to drive to Springville and home in one night, just to sleep and head back down there to do it all over again. So for the first time, we are going to spend Christmas Eve at home!!! I am so excited.. (oh yeah, and who could forget the GREAT Christmas music)??

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and remembers what Christmas is all about!!

I have decided to do a post about things I am grateful for..
First I just have to say how thankful I am for Jayven.. He is the BEST thing that has ever happened to me. I thought I knew what love was but, that was before I had him, Now I KNOW what love is. It is so weird how much you can care for such a little thing. He has started calling me mom instead of mama and it is so weird, cause it is like he really knows who I am to him.. It is such a great thing.
Second, I am grateful for James and how much he has helped me through things. He is a great daddy and I love him for that. James and Jayven have such a good time together. I cant express how glad I am to have had a boy first, I am sure James would have loved a girl, but He has been so good to/with Jayven. I couldn't ask for a better daddy for my son.
I am also grateful for my family that includes James' family also. They always seem to be there when we need something or even when I just need someone to talk to.. Growing up I was not much of a family person, I would have rather been with my friends and doing stuff with their family. Now, I would much rather be with our families.. They just mean so much to us and they do so much for us..
I am grateful for the gospel in my life and where it has gotten me. Again, growing up I didn't have the church in my life like I do now, and I think I did fine as a teen or even before a teen, but there was nothing I could have done about that, but I look back now and wish I would have had more of the church with me. I think I would know more than I do now and have a better knowledge of the gospel. So for that, I am trying so hard to better my testimony and gospel in our family. The calling that James has is truly a blessing I think, because it has brought him closer to not only the lord but to Jayven and I. James teaches the lesson pretty much every week in my class, and he does the ward letters, and teaches once a month in Elders Quorum. Something I NEVER thought he would be doing.. So I am so thankful for the calling he has..

James and I met country dancing with a mutual friend at the time! It was when I was in 7th grade and then we kinda lost contact. But we met up again when I was hanging out with his older brother! =)
#2 How long did you date before you got married?
We dated for 2 1/2 years. And were engaged for about 2 years..
#3 How long have you been married?
3 Years, 6 Months, 2 Weeks, and 6 days! To be exact!! =)
#4 What does he do that surprises you?
He comes home early and that surprises me. But he used to get me flowers and leave me messages that were so sweet! Hasn't done that in a while though.. :(
#5 What is your favorite feature of his?
I love his eyes! They are so blue... I also like the fact that he has brown hair and blue eyes I have always loved that...

#6 What is your favorite quality?
My favorite quality about James is that he is so outgoing.. Sometimes too outgoing, I can only handle so much after going, going, going with a two year old... Also that he loves to help others..
#7 Does he have any nicknames for you?
Lynds, sometimes babe, and sweetie.. Just depends on what he wants! ;)
#8 What is his favorite food?
I would have to say he loves sloppy joes and I am not a huge fan so I am sorry but I don't make them very often..

Ummm... He doesn't really like sports.. I would have to say that he enjoys to go bowling, and he does like to throw a football sometimes, and I have seen him kick a soccer ball just to try and show that he might be better than me.. I could take him though!! :)

#10 When and where did you first kiss?
Our first kiss was on the 4th of July at Grandma Dowdings house, which is no longer there. It was up on a hill in south orem and it looked over the valley of BYU so we were watching the fire works.. It was actually our first date!!
#11 What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to go camping be outdoors and be with Jayven..
#12 Do you have any kids?
Yes, Jayven Troy. He is almost 2 years old...

I don't think they are hidden, but he sure does know how to fix something.. If you ask him how to do something on a car he can do it, fix something in your house, he will find a way to fix it.. I call him the handy man!!

24 years young!! :)

James said it first but I said it right back!

He likes all kinds.. Oldies and rock are probably his favorite!

Well, lets just say that we have gone through some rough times, like I think everyone does to some extent and I would have to say that I admire him for stepping forward and working on things with me. It has been great being able to say what we need to say and not getting mad! I love James, even threw the rough times!! I also admire that he has taken responsibility in the Elders Quorum at church. I never thought that would happen!!

I would definitely have to say us being in Virginia is a great memory, and even living in California.

Today....

So for the last 3 weeks James has been getting calls from the stake presidency asking him to come in and meet with the stake president.. Well little did I know.. James failed to tell me that this has been happening til monday night at 11:00 p.m. when they called again to see if he could meet with us on Tuesday night, well James has school Tuesday nights so once again they got told no. Well, another call Thursday which James didn't answer.. Friday they called again and he finally answered and they lured us in and.......
James got a calling to be the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum. He is really excited about it, the President is James' age so he has someone to do it with that is in the same position as he is.. School full time, a new family, and a full time job! I was suprised to see James as happy as he was about the calling I honestly didn't see him taking it. But, I am very happy for him and I can't wait for the blessings that will come with it.
I am sure the Lord will bless James and lead him the ways that he needs to be lead so he can better us as a family and do his calling to the fullest!
He wasn't too happy that he had to wear white shirts every week to church! :( he has some pretty nice colored shirts! ( I think he looks much better in colors) So we will see where this too shall take us!!

Happy Halloween!!

This halloween was great!! Jayven was old enough to go trick-or-treating this year so it was really fun! :) He loved wearing his costume! We started the day out trick-or-treating at my work (kents) they had like 15 different stops throughout the store and they gave out good stuff like, chocolate milk, caffeine free pepsi (this made me laugh), doughnuts, vitamin water, toothbrushes, just to name a few, so it wasn't all candy, in fact I think he only got one peice of candy! He loved it he would walk up to the crates and just take what he wanted and at some as many as he wanted!
When we got home Jayven took a nap and woke up to just get into his costume again to go trunk-or-treating at the church. I thought it was going to be stupid cause it was at 4:30 first of all but by the time we were done there Jayven was ready to be done. He wouldn't hold his bucket anymore and it got to the point that after every candy he would stop by the curb and sit down and try to get the candy out and eat it! So we didn't get that much candy that night but it is ok! (mom and dad can do without!)

This past week James and I took a little break and went hunting with my dad. Jayven started down with a little cold and we didn't want to risk him getting worse up in the cold mountains so we opted to leave him home with grandma Tammy and aunt Tessie. The trip was great but I missed Jayven like crazy.. I couldn't believe I made it through the whole week without seeing him. I sure did realize what a great part of my life Jayven is.
Every morning he wakes me up about 8 and I bring him into my room and we watch t.v. I usually fall back asleep and I wake up again to him leaning over to kiss me on the nose or cheek! I really cherish those times... I don't know what I would do without that little boy! I love him so much.. He is getting to be so big and doing so much on his own. The other night he climbed out of his play pen and up onto Tess' bed where we were sleeping that night and James and I both turned around and looked at him and he had his little teddy bears and he was already under the blankets ready to go to sleep! I didn't realize how much he can really do. I just really wished he would talk!!!! I can't get him to say the essential words like please, thank you or anything like that! It drives me nuts. How do I do it??

Great Grandparents

So over conference weekend we went to grandma's house for dinner. It was really nice to be able to see everyone. Grandpa has been put into a nursing home and he got to come and join us for dinner, it was really great to see him and see him happy.. Jayven loves his grandma's for their crushed ice! Actually I should say he likes anyone for their ice but his grandma's have the crushed ice that he loves! :) It is so cute.. I have to say that my favorite part about going was seeing the aunts clean out the closet in the bedroom that was once theirs! It was pretty funny seeing them fight over things! Amy usually won, just because she had her name on things! :) All in all it was a great time at grandma's house! I can't wait for Thanksgiving there, even though we won't have all the family over! ISN'T IT SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT??

The weather today is awesome! It is so great to see the snow! It snowed here yesterday pretty much all day, but it never stuck to the ground! Well today it sure is and it is so great! I am not sure if I am quite ready for the snow to be here, but since there is nothing I can do about it I am going to enjoy it! I love the fact that I can turn on the heater, put on sweats and lay in bed! :) I know I am lazy but ya know what it is great!!!

I started thinking of things that I could do for Jayven for Christmas and one thing that came to my mind was a rag quilt. So my friends and her sisters do a craft day on Wednesdays so I started going down and they taught me how to do it! I was really excited, in the first day I got most of it done, I just needed to sew the rows together, but I ran out of time and no sewing machine. :( I was kinda scared cause I didn't know if I would be able to do it by myself and without a sewing machine, So my sweet mother in law let me use hers. She told me I could actually have it but when she wanted to use it I had to let her. But, good for me she has sewn one thing with this machine and it was when her hubby ripped his pants and she didn't know how to even do it! So I don't think i'll have to share too much... Well, I got it up and running and I got it finished last night! I am so excited.. I need to snip the edges to make them fray but other than that I am DONE!! I am actually already started on another one.. I really like this... My poor son though.. No time with mommy.. So here are a few pics..

Utah State Fair!!

Here is my cute little cowboy! He loved to see the cows, he is actually "moooing" at him.. The cow sneezed and scared him away so he isn't right next to him anymore. But we did get to pet him. It was so cute to see Jayven actually go up to him. :)
Lets move away from the cow!!! He started going to the bathroom!! Jayven pointed at him and said "cuck" and then started walking away! He is getting so big!

Socks Didn't Last Long!!

So today, I finally got rid of that dang cat! And ya wanna know why? James told me to!! I was so excited to hear those words from him. I was going to take her to the Humane Society today but James put her out side and she ran away. I was actually upset cause I didn't want a stray someplace without a home. So I watched for her and the neighbor kids across the street had her so I went over there and they wanted her so we no longer have the kitten! I will NEVER get a cat again and I think the cat changed James' mind about "cute cats". So we are all good! I hope no one has this problem, but if you do, let it live with you for a week and you'll understand... Now I just need to work on getting rid of Snuggles! :)

The unexpected New member of our family!!!

Ok so I never thought this would happen and for some of you will think the same way (Becky). We were at the Peach Days parade on friday night when this wagon went by with a sign that says "free kittens" I said NO before James could say anything!! He wined to me for like an hour, SERIOUSLY well, they were long gone down the road and so I said fine, but Im not going to get it you'll have to. So, He did!! He got to them and they had 3 left. I have to admit they were cute but not cute enough to bring home to my house. I am not a fan of the cat hair, the litter box smell, or the cat for that matter. So, we have a new kitten she is 7 1/2 weeks old and her name is Socks. We will see how long she lasts here. She has already gotten lost in the heater vent, she has snuck outside when Jayven left the door open! I am just not ready for her... James and Jayven on the other hand LOVE her. Even snuggles likes her. We'll see... But here's a picture..

So the other day we took down a wall in our family room downstairs and James had to sand down one of the corners cause of the drywall putty and Jayven saw him do it so when James turns around Jayven heads right for the sand paper! Box Elder County Fair!!

Last weekend Jayven and I went to the fair. We went with our friends Heidi and Steve and their kids. It was really fun, I took Jayven to the carnival part of the fair to ride some rides. He absolutely loves them and is so amazed at all the things he can do! Here is a picture of Jayven and Revin on the car ride.
When we were there we saw some animals and Jayven loved the cows and the sheep. When we went to see the sheep he was just sitting in his stroller and I put him right up next to them and they actually stuck their heads out and we nibbling on his leg! It was pretty cute, he didn't know what to think of that! Jayven didn't have his sock or shoe on one foot and one of the sheep actually got one of his toes and I think it tickled him cause he laughed so hard! It was pretty cute! I wish I had a picture but my camera died! :( I wasn't too happy about it! But, we had a great time! Can't wait for the state fair!!

I had just mowed the lawn and turned the water on and Jayven absolutely loves playing with the hose! But, He won't let go of that dang sippy cup!!

This Jayven's new bike! He can't quite reach the pedals but, he still loves it!

Daddy just got home from work and goes right for the hose to get Jayven wet!

Ok so as you can tell, I am having a lot of trouble finding out how to change things on my blog! I need some help! :) I would really like to change the header on the blog but I can't figure it out! I saw Kayci's blog and I went to that website and found a new layout thing but now I can't make it match or anything with a Header! So anyone who might know how to do this please let me know! So this is my son Picasso (Jayven)! I walked out side for a few minutes to put some things in the car and I came back into Jayven playing with a pink sharpie marker! He had it all over his body! I couldn't help but to take some pictures I know I shouldn't have cause I was smiling the whole time and it probably wasn't good to do that but it was so cute!! :) He is getting so big!
The other picture is Jayven and Revin when we went camping! They are such good buds. Revin is just 16 months but he is at Jayven's level for everything so they play great together! It is so nice for him to already have a friend! They just live 3 doors down so they are together everyday pretty much.

Well, I will finally be able to update everyone on how the family is doing, James is registered for 2 internet classes so he had to have the internet at home! I am not too happy about it but it has to be done! :)
So Jayven is getting so big and starting to do things that I am not very happy about! He has showed me he isn't a "baby" anymore he still isn't talking as much as I would like him to but i'm sure he will find his time to talk.
Well, I tried to get some pictures to put up but my computer won't let me! :( So I'll try and get some on later...

Easter

Here is the bunny Jayven won at the Easter egg hunt!!
He had to eat everything that was in his basket including the money that his grandpa gave him!!
Eating the bread that was for the ducks!! I couldn't tell who was hungrier! :)
He sure does love his daddy!!
Well, we had a great easter! Jayven had a fun time at the Easter egg hunt on saturday morning, we took him to springville and he won a bunny that is bigger than him... :) Pretty cute! Then on Sunday we had Easter morning at my dads and then we went and visited everyone else! It was a great day! We didn't get home til 9 p.m. but it was worth the day! I have a few pictures.. Oh yeah, we went to the park and fed the ducks! Jayven chased them all over, but i think the best part was he would get a piece of bread to throw to the ducks and he would just eat it instead!!! It was great!

Well, here it is the house we have bought!! (although we haven't closed yet) We close on this house on February 20 and we can move in on the 23rd! We are so excited! I had no idea how exciting it would be to actually say that we are going to have a house! James and I are really excited about moving and having our OWN place! We have a had a house once in Cali but this one is just going to be OURS! So I hope and pray that everything will work out! Only like 2 more weeks! YAY!!! I will post again and show more pictures later....

So here is some pictures from Jayven's 1st birthday!! And above is the picture of one of the cakes that James and I made for him!! Let me just tell you that was one BIG project! We started it at 9 a.m. and finished it at 3 p.m. it took forever!! But it was well worth it! He loved it! I do have to say though it took some getting used to but by the second family party he loved it! :)
I can not believe he is ONE year old! It has gone by so fast! He is such a handsome boy! He is a smart boy too! He has been a great joy in our life and I can't wait for more birthdays and more years to come! And hopefully we'll have more babies to enjoy these birthdays and years to come!

Moving!!

Well, James and I have finally found a house and we put an offer in on it last week and found out that they accepted the offer! If everthing goes fine we get to move in on February 23!!! We are so excited! It is in Brigham City and so yes we will be moving far but not too far! James is going to go to school at Utah State and I am going to try and find a Dental office there or close to there. I hope everything works out fine! We need this so bad! :)

This is Jayven's first 4th of July... We had a great day we went to Great Grandma Thomas' house for a bbq and spent a few hours there and then James and I went to the stadium of fire and saw Brooks and Dunn!! It was a great concert...

We decided to go on a family vacation to California (we miss it so much) this picture was taken on San Clemente beach Jayven loved the water... :) Mom didn't like it so much this time I got a cold right when we pulled into Cali it seemed like. And I was in bed for most of the 3 days we were there. I would love to go back just so we could go swimming.. At least I went, I laid out most of the time and loved doing it!!

Jayven and his first Halloween... He was a skunk he looked so dang cute! I took him and his cousins to a trick or treat during the day and then we went to ALL of his grand parents and great grand parents!! It was a great day not only for him but for James too... Halloween is James' favorite holiday and it meant the world to him to get Jayven all dressed up and take him to the families houses... We left at 4:00 pm and got home at 11:30 pm... what a LONG day!! (the date is wrong sorry)

This picture is the day after we gave Jayven his second hair cut!! This time I got it cut really short... Before we got it cut it went down past his nose in the front and past his shoulders in the back!! I loved it!! We could do it so cute now it is just a mess... James could kick my butt for cutting it but I was getting alot of grief for having it long (Aunt Becky) :) we will keep growing it out again though!! Jayven loves to be with his daddy.. When he wants to play we will lay on the floor and he will come and sit by our heads and scream at us and hit us on the forehead and then we will scare him and he will laugh so hard!! It is great.. He has definately been a blessing to us we love him! :)
